Karen Bentham, Executive Director

Karen is the Executive Director of OASSIS with over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. Prior to joining OASSIS, Karen served as a Trustee on the OASSIS Board for 8 years. She also spent 10 years as the Executive Director at a senior’s centre in Toronto. Her experience and knowledge of the voluntary sector, coupled with the years she spent in insurance during the early part of her career gives Karen the skills to effectively direct the daily and long term operations at OASSIS.

Under the direction of the OASSIS Board of Trustees, Karen oversees the operation of OASSIS, which includes staff supervision, HR functions, risk management, and oversight of service providers. She also works closely with our member agencies and prospective members to ensure OASSIS fulfills its mandate to provide affordable, accessible employee benefits to the not-for-profit sector.
