Prescription Drugs
Plans range from 70% to 100% reimbursement. Brand and Generic drug plans are available
Paramedical Practitioners
Registered Massage Therapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath, Chiropodist, Naturopath, Acupuncture, Podiatrist, Speech Therapist, Psychological, Acupuncturist, Physiotherapist, and Dietician.
Dental
Preventative. Restorative – fillings, periodontal, root canal treatment. Major – crowns, bridges. Orthodontia.
Life Insurance
Basic Life insurance. Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D). Included in all packaged pool plans – Select plans with 1X or 2X annual salary.
Medical Supplies
Coverage for a wide range of supplies and equipment required due to medical necessities.
Travel Insurance
Out of Province / Out of Country – $5,000,000 Emergency Medical Insurance for trips lasting up to 60 days for you and your dependents.
Vision
As a GreenShield plan member, you have access to discounts on prescription eyewear, contact lenses, and eye examination.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Confidential counselling, work-life programs, financial services, free manager coaching, critical incident on-site counselling, and much more.

Short Term & Long Term Disability

Optional Life Insurance

Dependent Life Insurance
In case of death, payment of $10,000 for a loss of spouse and $5,000 for a child.
Critical Illness Insurance (CI)
Provides a lump-sum benefit to help financially support an employee should a critical illness be diagnosed. Coverage can be mandatory or optional.
Health Care Spending Account (HCSA)
A flexible HCSA allows members to self-direct benefit coverage to meet their individual needs with pre-tax dollars.
Digital Pharmacy
View your medications, order a refill, book an appointment to meet with a pharmacist from the privacy of your home.
Telemedicine
Access telemedicine – a virtual health care provider that allows plan members to talk to a physician from any smartphone, computer, or tablet.
Gender Affirmation
Includes reimbursement for core surgeries not covered by the province and includes services to assist in the physical alignment of the individual’s transitioned gender.
Fertility Care
GreenShield’s family-building offering allows plan sponsors to provide inclusive benefits coverage that supports employees in reaching the goal of growing their family.
Personalized Nutrition
The Personalized Nutrition Program allows members to undergo an assessment with a nurse and receive 3 hours of nutrition counselling in 30-60 minute session.(Covered via EAP or member-paid)
